  1. Jacob Kipp

    (verified owner):

“A good piece of fiction! The plot works like a murder mystery should and the characters are to be believed. Those who lived on the front lines of the Cold War will feel that peculiar chill that came when crossing the line at Check Point Charlie. The author has created characters and settings that are of interest and that keep the reader engaged.”
    — Jacob Kipp, Professor Emeritus, Lawrence, KS

Great book. Destined to be a best seller, maybe a movie. It has everything mystery, suspense, romance, and a great twist at the end.

Engrossing story; the plot is engaging, grabs you from the start and moves swiftly. The suspense is well crafted, and I found myself not wanting to put the book down. It has a wonderful sense of place and time and great characters. The setting, the atmosphere and the historical events of the end of World II and life in East Germany were quite real.

Fabulous story! Loved the characters and how their destinies intertwined, overlapped and affected each others! You fall in love with the characters and want to hate the bad guy so much (who {SPOILER ALERT}: keeps popping up like a bad penny)! Loved the historical aspect and ‘view from the inside’ – something us Westerners probably never knew or could appreciate of that time period. Lots of twists to keep up with! There’s history, romance, drama, political intrigue, even ‘dirty’ cops and soldiers! The ‘who done it’ question keeps you flipping pages until a completely unexpected and shocking end! Lots of potential for a sequel, opportunities to delve deeper into the time period, the characters, and both their immediate and distant futures in the aftermath of the conclusion! Well written, well documented and well edited/proofed (as opposed to many eBooks out there!).

BERLIN DANCER grabbed my attention with the Prologue. There were several twists and turns that I stayed intrigued til the last page. The cover drew me to look further into reading the book. I would love to see BERLIN DANCER made into a movie!
